Aha, Terrorist Missionaries!

Captors release Centanni and Wiig; both were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint

...Two FOX News journalists were released by their kidnappers Sunday, nearly two weeks after they were taken hostage in the Gaza Strip.

Thank God they were released... but read on....

Both of the men were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint,
Centanni said. "We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint," Centanni told FOX News. "Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

Well, I sure am glad they were shown the same tolerance for their religion as terrorists demand... Doesn't it just give you warm feelings towards them?

This makes my blood boil...

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) -- Israeli aircraft fired two missiles early Sunday at an armored car belonging to the Reuters news agency, wounding five people, including two cameramen, Palestinian witnesses and hospital officials said.

Read it if you can stand it

I wonder... Is it just me, or does the AP seem more condemming of this(an accident) than things like this? (Or this or this...)

What an idiot

NEW YORK — New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin criticized efforts to redevelop the World Trade Center site when confronted in a television interview about delays in rebuilding his city after Hurricane Katrina.
During the "60 minutes" interview, a correspondent pointed out flood-damaged cars still on the streets of New Orleans' devastated Ninth Ward. Nagin replied, "You guys in New York can't get a hole in the ground fixed, and it's five years later. So let's be fair," according to CBS.

I would feel stupid just trying to argue against this. So the big question is, well, is New York a Chocolate city?

I don't know about this...

Slain Tenn. Pastor's Wife Freed on Bail
SELMER, Tenn. — A minister's wife accused of shooting her husband to death after an argument over money was released from jail Tuesday on $750,000 bail.
Mary Winkler, 32, is charged with killing Matthew Winkler on March 22 at their church parsonage in Selmer, about 80 miles east of Memphis.
She was arrested the following day in Alabama, where she had taken the couple's three young daughters, and has been behind bars on murder charges since then.
Her trial is scheduled for October.

Okay... I'm not the one to cry sexism. But - would a man who was accused of first-degree murder and had already fled once be allowed bail? Just wondering. Cause this sure doesn't seem right (or legal!) to me.

She... just... won't... go... away....

Sheehan Leads Crawford Protest on Her Own Land
CRAWFORD, Texas — A year after her first war protest in President Bush's adopted hometown attracted thousands and reinvigorated the nation's peace movement, Cindy Sheehan resumed her vigil Sunday — this time on land she recently bought.

Um. Okay. Just so y'all don't forget (cause the media would never want you to forget THAT... no, not after the barrage several months ago...)
This is quoting Veterans For Peace's transcript of a speech she gave...

"But I don't care, I'm goin'. And I'm gonna tell them, 'You get that evil maniac out here, cuz a Gold Star Mother, somebody who's blood is on his hands, has some questions for him.'"

Oh. And more...

"And I'm gonna say, "And you tell me, what the noble cause is that my son died for." And if he even starts to say freedom and democracy' I'm gonna say, bullsh*t."

"Then I was growing up, it was Communists'. Now it's Terrorists'. So you always have to have somebody to fight and be afraid of, so the war machine can build more bombs, guns, and bullets and everything. "

And this is all one speech! There's more, believe me.
Liberals have accused me of obsessing over Cindy Sheehan, and you know what, I say bull... no, just kidding. Sorry.

Does anyone remember back last year when we were bombarded with Cindy? All the time. Peace mom this, peace mom that. Now she does something very inconvenient, like going insane, and liberals want me to forget about her?? Are they kidding?

Good, maybe he'll die

Monday night, Fidel temporarily relinquished his presidential powers to Raul, telling Cubans in a letter read on television that he underwent surgery. The Cuban leader said he had suffered gastrointestinal bleeding, apparently due to stress from recent public appearances in Argentina and Cuba.

Only I think Raul could be worse. People are saying this could trigger a revolution, and you almost can't help but hope for it.
How can the world have allowed this to go on so long? That's what I wanna know.

"Evil prospers when good men are silent."
