Golly, why am I not surprised over this?...

Brokeback Mountain" leads the Academy Awards field Tuesday with eight nominations

Hmm... Yeah, I guess it was a well-made movie and everything... but I don't remember it getting a particularly stunning reception at theaters.
Call me crazy, but I don't think the whole, um, tender love story aspect of it is why it's earning so much recognition.
