Now, as a person who's been through a hurricane (several, in fact), I can tell you that our community was not turning on our TVs to see what President Bush had to say - we were tuning in to see our Sheriff, mayor, local division of National Guard, etc. Right or wrong, New Orleans was depending on their local officials. And they failed them.
